Earth Totes are my new favorite grocery bags! Available in three sizes:

The Favorite Tote is $10 and described as BIG

The Market Tote is $12 and described as BIGGER

The Jumbo Tote is $14 and described as BIGGEST

I love their slogan, Earth Day is Everyday! I’m seriously addicted to cloth bags now, I have some in my car, on the bannister, on every hook and doorknob in my house. As much as I can’t stand the cheezy beauty counter bags, I love me some cloth grocery bags!

Earth Totes
It's time we all purchased reusable tote bags and stopped using plastic and paper bags from the market or the mall. (Except if you buy something from Prada — then you are allowed to walk around with the Prada paper bag). Two local moms wanted an alternative to their children's annual candy fundraiser and came up with Earth Totes, a sturdy cotton reusable shopping bag. The preprinted versions are available online in three sizes ($10 –$14). You can also order them for your own fundraiser or promotion and they will customize the bag for you. Keep your reusable Earth Tote bags in the front seat of the car or, like me, you will have to walk back to your car to get them because you forgot and you feel too guilty to use plastic “just this once.” This is one of the easiest ways we can green up our lives. So let me hear you say it: “No more plastic bags!”

Earthtotes.org is offering a sustainable solution for shoppers in the form of customizable, canvas tote bags, as well as a list of green factoids and eco-friendly links through their website, www.earthtotes.org. Started by two San Fernando Valley mothers as an alternative fundraiser to candy bars for their children’s respective schools, Katrina Andrews and Sheryl Steinman found their supply of Earth Totes was barely keeping up with order demands from local PTAs, religious organizations, and companies. For more information, ordering, and statistics on plastic bag usage, visit www.earthtotes.org.

Save the planet, one shopping bag at a time

Tuesday is Earth Day and I have to admit I have done little — OK, nothing, really — to be kind to the planet lately. Then I went shopping and as I was asked the question "paper or plastic?" I was reminded that there IS something I can do that could have major impact and that is tell all of you about Earthtotes, canvas reusable shopping bags that will enable you to banish the plastic ones forever!

Go to earthtotes.org and you'll meet for yourself the two moms — Sheryl Steinman and Katrina Andrews — who came up with the idea of selling the canvas bags (instead of gift wrap, candy or assorted other things) as a fundraiser for their childrens' school. Soon, their friends were calling about selling canvas bags as a fundraiser for their kids' schools and before Steinman and Andrews knew it, a business was born. Both have been involved in show business-related businesses and have other interests of their own, so clearly they knew what they are doing. You can buy the bags for yourself on the web site, or you can get the information you need to set up a fundraiser of your own. Either way, you're saving the planet — one bag at a time, as the ladies like to say.

I've been using my Earth Tote bags for months and I can't imagine shopping without them! They are also a great deal and hold so much! Check them out! earthtotes.org
